The developer, which is building a range of homes in Bedfordshire at Willow Grove in Wixams, donated the Easter treats to bring a smile to the children who may have to visit the hospital.
Ahead of the Easter period, Kelly Page (Sales Adviser) from Barratt and David Wilson Homes delivered the chocolate eggs to Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Charity, to be distributed among the children’s ward at Bedford Hospital.
Charmaine Norrish, Fundraising Manager at Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Charity, said: “We were bowled over by the generosity of Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes. This donation made a huge difference to our patients who are unfortunately in hospital over the Easter period. Support from companies like Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes allows us to make a positive impact for patients, staff, and visitors .”
Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Charity supports both Bedford Hospital and Luton and Dunstable University Hospital by running a number of appeals to fund a range of needs.
Simon Francis, Managing Director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Northampton, said: “It was a pleasure to donate the Easter eggs to Bedford Hospital. As well as building new homes for the community, we have a strong belief in supporting the areas in which we build and strengthening our relationship with local charities and organisations.
“The hospital plays such a vital role for the people of Bedfordshire, and we hope the eggs will go a small way in bringing a smile to the patients.”
