It is the oldest church in the town, established in 1762 and sits in her own graveyard. The Church is an iconic landmark in the town and is undergoing repairs at a cost of £9,500. The church and halls complex is fortunate to have wide range of social and faith activities and sustains a full time minister.
Reverebnd Jason Lingiah, minister of the congregation, said: "St Andrew’s Church originated in Bellshill when it was just a hamlet of farms over 260 years ago and its establishment at Bellshill Cross has led to the town growing.
"Bellshill Relief Church, as it was first known as, has been part of the towns growth and activity and part of the community. It would be fantastic to be able to restore the roof and spire.
"We are grateful to the many donations from folks in the community and any contribution, now matter how big or small, would help us to continue our community outreach and preserve this piece of the town’s heritage.’
