All eyes on Kings Heath opticians’ relocation

There was reason to celebrate in Kings Heath on Monday,  December 2, as an opticians officially opened the doors to its new home.

Specsavers Kings Heath celebrated its opening

Specsavers has moved just a stone’s throw away from its previous home to a much larger premises at 120-122 High Street and the store was opened by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Councillor Ken Wood. Those in attendance were treated to cupcakes and street entertainment throughout the morning.

The relocation comes on the back of demand for the busy community opticians – with the new premises, at more than double the size of the current one, enabling the team to expand their optical and audiology offering.

With nine test rooms, all situated on the ground floor for accessibility, this will result in a better customer experience and an improved working environment for the team too.

"We’d like to say a big thank you to the Lord Mayor who made time in his schedule to come along and cut the ribbon and celebrate with us - it was fantastic to welcome people through our doors,! says Shyam Unarkat, store director at Specsavers Kings Heath.
