The strike has left bins overflowing and streets littered with waste, creating unhygienic conditions that are becoming increasingly difficult to ignore. The unsightly rubbish has attracted rats and other pests, adding to the frustration and concern among locals.
In response many are willing to pay up to £50 for assistance with rubbish removal, seeing it as the quickest way to clear their streets and avoid further issues.
One resident, overwhelmed by the sheer amount of household waste accumulating due to the strike, offered £60 for help with the removal of around 25 bags of rubbish. Another resident, dealing with a more manageable pile of around five bags, is willing to pay £45 for someone to take the waste away.
With the ongoing bin strike showing no signs of ending soon, Birmingham residents are stepping up and taking matters into their own hands.
