Throughout 2024, the team at Care UK’s Blossomfield Grange, on Worcester Way, raised funds for Age UK Solihull, an independent local charity that aims to help older people in the local community flourish by providing free support and services across the borough.
Across the last 12 months, residents and team members have organised quarterly quiz nights, tombolas and raffles at themed events which have raised a total of £2,540 for Age UK Solihull. In addition to the home’s efforts, Care UK added an extra £1,000 to the donation pot, taking the grand total raised to £3,540.
The team at Blossomfield Grange recently invited representatives from Age UK Solihull into the home, where residents and team members presented them with a cheque for £3,540.
The donation will go towards helping the charity to continue its vital work within the Solihull community. Rebecca Jacob, Digital Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Age UK Solihull, said: “Blossomfield Grange have once again raised an incredible amount for Age UK Solihull, through various activities, events, donations and generous match funding.
“As a local charity, this means so much to us. The funds raised will help us to provide vital advice, friendship and practical support to older Solihull residents when they need us most. We are so grateful for the ongoing support of Blossomfield Grange and we hope to continue working with them in the future.”
Jag Singh, General Manager at Blossomfield Grange, said: “We are incredibly proud and thankful to the team, residents and relatives for coming together to support such a wonderful cause. Age UK Solihull does fantastic work in our community, and we are delighted to be able to offer a contribution towards this, so that more older people who need it can receive support.
“The generosity and enthusiasm shown by everyone at Blossomfield Grange in our fundraising efforts has been truly heart-warming, and we look forward to continuing to support local causes this year.”
