2025 is set to be a pivotal period of growth for family run cosmetics business Amelia Knight as they open new state of the art factory in China. The company offers under-one-roof capabilities across colour cosmetics, skincare, haircare, body care and fragrance.

With $5 million / 35 million RMB being invested, this significant investment in infrastructure and manufacturing capabilities transforms the process into a lean production model, with dispensing, mixing, filling and finished goods assembly under one roof.

Following the continued success of skincare for the business at their UK manufacturing sites, a new dedicated skincare floor in China enables AK to now service skincare and body care globally, scaling capabilities and product offering.

With continued investment into China since opening their first factory in Hangzhou in 2010, the company’s intention has always been to move to a state of the art, under-one-roof facility. With an initial investment of $3.5 million, and a further $1.5million into additional kit and machinery throughout 2025 to complete this initial stage.

This move represents Amelia Knight’s significant continued commitment to China as a key manufacturing centre for the company.  Bolstering the continued success of the family run business’s UK factories at Stoke and Leek, this further opens cross category opportunities for their global customers.

The continued venture into skincare follows the launch of Amelia Knight’s consumer brand Glow Hub in 2020. Known for its TikTok viral Scar Slayer Serum and Baby Beam Glow Base, the fun, innovative and educational skincare brand for Gen Z and Alpha is now stocked in Sephora, Selfridges, Harrods, ASOS, Galleries Lafayette and Beauty Bay.

David Salmon, Chairman of Amelia Knight said: “The opening of our new state of the art factory in China is a pivotal moment for the AK group. It's been our long-term goal to move all China operations under one roof and it's certainly an exciting time full of opportunity for us and all our partners.'”

Amelia Knight’s ambitious five-year plan combines a new business development strategy with an expansion of our product offering, increased production capabilities and heavy investment in infrastructure to support the growth of existing customers.
