The Greenhills Road club is hosting its first ever beer festival at the club in partnership with Eastwood pub the Dog & Parrot.
This is largely to raise some funds to improve the drainage on the club’s ground as well as to make its100 year old pavilion more accessible.
The festival is running from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, August 25 and is just one part of a packed weekend at the club.
Another of the highlights will see the club hosting the finals in the Super 8’s of the Nottinghamshire women's The Hundred competition on Sunday, August 25, which consists of three matches at 12noon, 2pm and 4pm.
Representatives from Nottinghamshire Cricket will be at the club on the day.
There will also be Eastwood club matches played during the festival as well.
The third big element of the weekened will be the official opening of the club’s new artificial net facility.
Last year, the club was was given grants of £15,000 from Broxtowe Council and £10,000 from the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) towards the new artificial nets facility at the club.
A club spokesperson said: “The new nets have been a godsend to the club, given all the terrible weather and flooding we have experienced over the last year.
"It has meant that even though we had to cancel matches on our ground for the first quarter of the season this year, we were still able to practice in the nets as they were unharmed.”
The club has invited Coun Milan Radulovic (Lab), Broxtowe Council leader, to come along and officially open the new nets at the event.
The weekend will also include live music, a raffle and even a duck race.
