Kimberley war memorial adorned in beautiful poppies display for Remembrance

Kimberley war memorial has again been beautifully decorated with knitted and crocheted poppies ahead of Remembrance weekend.

Kimberley war memorial has been decorated with knitted and crocheted poppies.

Posting on it’s Facebook page, Kimberley Council said: “A huge thank you to all of our knitters and  rocheters over the last two years, your hard work has allowed us to create these stunning poppy displays for the war memorial.”

Remebrance Sunday events in Kimberley will begin with a service at Holy Trinity Church at 10am, followed by a parade to the war memorial in the town at 10.40am.

The Act of Remembrance will take place at 10.55am and the laying of wreaths will follow the two-minutes silence.

Refreshments will be available at Rumbeltums Cafe afterwards.
