The event, held at the iconic Falkirk Wheel, is organised by SBH Scotland with partnership places available to over 30 other charities, enabling them to also generate funds for their missions. The abseil attracted participants from across the region, all united in their efforts to support those in need.
Lawrence Cowan, CEO of Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland, said: "Our mission is to help people with spina bifida, and hydrocephalus feel unstoppable. The success of this event is a testament to the incredible support from our community and the dedication of all involved. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved together.
“I also want to thank our partner charities for joining in the fun and raising fantastic funds for their causes too. It’s the partnership approach that makes this event so special.
“This event is one to tick off your bucket list. If you want to get involved and do your bit to support disabled children and young people sign up now.”
The event was made possible through the generous support of Scottish Canals, who provided access to the Falkirk Wheel.
Ross McMillan, Head of Destinations at Scottish Canals, said: “We were delighted to host Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland and many other charities, both large and small, for this year’s abseiling event at The Falkirk Wheel.
The new abseil rigging by Zone Events allowed more participants than ever to take part in this fantastic and unique fundraising event. With 2026 dates confirmed already we are predicting another record year.”
Jono Buckland, Company Director of Zone Events, who delivered the abseil, added: "It was brilliant to work with SBH Scotland and all the participating charities. The enthusiasm and commitment of everyone involved were truly inspiring. We look forward to making next year's event even more successful."
