On Thursday, 3 of April, residents, their families, team members, and local community members, attended the home’s event to celebrate the completed refurbishment. The Mayor of Enfield, Councillor Mohammad Islam, attended the event to cut the ribbon and officially open the refurbished area.
Attendees were able to tour the home, getting a first look of the refurbishment, before enjoying a buffet lunch prepared by the home’s catering team. Live music was provided by steel drum player, Melodic Panman.
Nairn House Bupa Care Home is a 61-bed home and welcomes residents in need of nursing or residential care. The refurbishment is of the ground floor and includes a full redecoration and new furniture, fixtures and fittings in all communal areas and bedrooms. Private patios have been installed onto some bedrooms, offering direct garden access.
Home Manager Onkemetse Moabankwe said: “Everyone at Nairn House is very proud of our refurbishment, it looks fantastic! It was lovely to see the positive reaction from our residents, their families and the community.
“We were delighted that the Mayor of Enfield, Councillor Mohammed Islam was able to attend and join our celebrations. I want to thank all of our residents and staff for their support throughout the refurbishment.”
Christine Brown, a resident at Nairn House, commented: “I think the refurbished floor looks lovely and it was a really fun day celebrating with my friends and family, and we got to speak to the mayor.”
