The pop-up event, The Art of Coffee Café, will take place on March 7 and 8, offering an exciting chance to indulge in stunning latte art while exploring the artistry of coffee with renowned barista, Brian (known for his celebrity-inspired creations).
Alpro has partnered with Barista Brian, celebrated for his intricate coffee portraits of stars like Nicole Kidman, Anne Hathaway, and Stanley Tucci, to host a unique masterclass experience. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to craft their own coffee masterpieces using the Alpro Barista range, a selection of plant-based drinks that are specially designed to create the perfect foam for latte art.
The Art of Coffee Café will feature iconic works of art, like Banksy’s Girl with the Balloon, Van Gogh’s Starry Night, Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Munch’s The Scream, and Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, recreated in delicious latte form. Participants can enjoy a free cup of coffee adorned with beautiful latte art and join an intimate masterclass where Barista Brian will share his expertise on creating picture-perfect coffee creations.
“We’re thrilled to be part of this event with Alpro,” said Barista Brian. “It’s the perfect opportunity to share my love for latte art in an iconic location like Somerset House. Latte art is a skill I’m passionate about, and I can’t wait to see everyone’s reaction to the stunning coffee art we’ll create with the Alpro Barista range.”
Zoe Gardner, Head of Marketing at Alpro, added: “We’ve long been a part of coffee culture, and this event takes it to a whole new level. The Barista range is designed to create beautifully foamy and delicious plant-based drinks that are the perfect base for latte art. We’re excited to collaborate with Barista Brian and celebrate both coffee and art in such a creative way.”
The Art of Coffee Café will run at Somerset House’s South Wing from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm on March 7 and 8. Masterclass sessions are available at 9 am-10 am and 11 am-12 pm. Tickets are limited, so those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up in advance.
