From Friday, March 7 to Sunday, March 9, women can enjoy complimentary races at F1 Arcade locations in London and Birmingham. The event runs from 12pm to 2pm daily, with no advance booking required – just walk in and race.
Diane Jervis, Global President & COO of F1 Arcade, emphasised the event's significance: "Motorsports are an adrenaline-fueled world - we want to make sure that women feel empowered to step into the driver's seat."
The initiative comes at a crucial time for diversity in motorsports. Recent data shows that women now comprise 40% of the F1 Arcade's audience, reflecting a growing interest in the sport. Participants can experience state-of-the-art racing simulators, typically priced at up to £23 per race, completely free of charge.
Each woman will be limited to three complimentary races on a first-come, first-served basis. The event aligns with this year's International Women's Day theme of "Accelerate Action," quite literally giving women the chance to accelerate on world-famous F1 courses.
"Creating an inclusive environment where women can experience the rush of racing is so important," Jervis added. "We hope this event sparks a lasting passion for racing and helps to drive greater participation for women in motorsports."
