This industry-first programme is aimed at supporting the hospitality sector with upskilling existing staff to boost marketing functions and encourage emerging talent into the industry.
Employing over 3.5 million people, the hospitality sector represents over 10% of overall UK employment. It is the third-largest private employer but has been one of the hardest hit industries following COVID-19. Well documented issues such as rising costs, including the most recent National Insurance Contribution hike, have increased pressure on the sector with business closures becoming commonplace.
The Juice Academy Managing Director, SallyAnn Coleman, said: “With our track record in delivering innovative training across Marketing and PR, apprentices will quickly gain the necessary skills required to be successful not only in multichannel and content marketing but the added experiential elements unique to the hospitality industry. We’re so excited to be able to support hospitality with an injection of fresh marketing talent.”
The programme is launched in partnership with marketing agency Tempt. Apprentices will benefit from their wealth of industry experience delivering impactful campaigns for hospitality, lifestyle and leisure clients including The QHotels Collection, D & D London, Mercure Hotels and Individual Restaurants.
Tempt Managing Director Beccy Gibson, who is delivering the training personally, said: “Hospitality marketing is such a creative, exciting and ever-evolving space to be in. I’m delighted to support the next generation of hospitality marketers through this specialist training, sharing from my experiences working with a diverse range of industry brands.”
By investing in training programmes such as this, businesses will gain a cost-effective way to develop in-house marketing expertise, empower existing employees and shape the next generation of hospitality marketers.
The Juice Academy's hospitality marketing apprentices will learn how to develop and create content for multi-channel purposes, as well as technical marketing including SEO, PPC and email marketing. The programme will also focus on developing skills to measure multi-channel campaigns that deliver return on investment.
The spring cohort of apprentices is already almost full, with the next enrolment opening in June. Anyone interested in applying or businesses looking to hire or upskill a team member can contact The Juice Academy via the website.
