The lads from Lake Macquarie in New South Wales are on a UK and European tour that saw them perform for the first time in this city.

They will now go on to perform at destinations including Bristol, London, Amsterdam and Paris.

The venue was jam-packed for the show which saw support acts Muddy Elephant and Honey Motel Band also on the bill.

Muddy Elephant started the night with a serenading set that got everyone into the mood.

Sporting a lairy red and white checkered suit, the lead singer Sam invited the crowd in and the North West four-piece soon had the crowd swooning.

The indie band will be headlining at Castle Manchester on March 19.

Muddy Elephant bills themselves as "Your new fave indie band" and if you a fan of the genre, they are worth checking out.

Honey Motel took to the stage next and kept the night simmering.

The band had travelled the M62 from Liverpool and continued the good work of Muddy Elephant asw they delivered an enjoyable set.

The main event was set up before Surf Trash took to the stage.

The Aussie band are known for songs such as "Friends", "Wrong or Right" and "All my problems".

Surf Trash rolled out high energy and great song after great song during their Manchester show which saw the crowd bopping along to their performance.

The band set the bar high for other bands gigging in the city this year after delivering an epic show.

The highlight of the night was the playing of the highly anticipated and soon-to-be-officially released song Pacifico.

Like the rest of the night, it did not disappoint.

Surf Trash will now go on to play in Bristol tonight (February 5) before heading into London on Thursday.
