Volunteers take part in neighbourhood litter pick north of Rudgwick

On Saturday, we had 32 volunteers litter-pick all the roads to the north of Rudgwick.

41 bags of rubbish collected, ready for Waverley to pick up.

Our volunteers picked along the B2128 all the way from Rudgwick into the heart of Cranleigh, along Furzen Lane, and then with the help of the Rowhook and Clemsfold Amenity Society members, down Rowhook Hill past the Chequers pub and on to the A29.

We also cleared all of Somersbury Lane towards Ewhurst.

In all, we collected over 41 bags of rubbish, and so the roads around Rudgwick are now all clean and tidy!

The most amusing item we found was this bike - perhaps worth £500 in a Knick-Knack retro shop in London?!

Many thanks to everyone who volunteered their time, and to the Coop for their free biscuits and cakes!
