Squire’s Washington has started the New Year by donating £423 to Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, the centre’s ‘Charity of the Year,’ following the success of their Christmas Grotto.

Held during November and December, Santa’s Grotto brought festive fun and memory-making to local families, while raising valuable funds for the local charity.

Christmas Grottos appeared at ten of Squire’s Garden Centres  this festive season, including Badshot Lea, Crawley, Frensham, Milford, Shepperton, Stanmore, Washington, West Horsley, Woking and Wokingham. For each ticket sold, £1 was donated to the centre’s nominated ‘Charity of the Year,’ raising an impressive overall total of over £8,831 across ten charities.

Sarah Squire, Chairman of Squire’s Garden Centres, comments: “Our Christmas Grottos are a cherished tradition, and we’re thrilled they were enjoyed by so many families. It is wonderful to know they not only created magical moments but also supported our local communities. We are proud to contribute to the vital work of charities close to our centres, which make such a meaningful difference to people’s lives.”
